To celebrate the 2008 Summer Olympics being held in Beijing, China. De Vere’s of London have created the Olympic Diamond iPhone.

The front steel bezel of these Apple iPhones are inset with 88 brilliant white F/VS quality diamonds.

This number marks the date of the opening ceremony on 8/8 (8th of August) 2008.

The number 8 is also very important in Chinese superstition as the pronunciation of it is the same as “accumulate wealth” in the Chinese language.

The Olympic Diamond iPhone is now £3102 (USD$6161). A huge introductory saving on its initial price of £4148 (USD$8219). This is the price for setting the 88 diamonds into an iPhone supplied by the customer. Most Apple iPhones are only available on network contracts. De Vere’s of London are unable to buy these iPhones for their customers. The customer must therefore supply the iPhone to be inset with diamonds. This is simply a case of sending it to us by international courier. Finished iPhones are returned to the customer by courier.

The 88 diamonds can be set in a variety of patterns. The choice is yours.

Below are a couple of ideas. On the left, the 88 diamonds are set into the top right hand corner. On the right, the same design is expanded so that the diamonds are spread along the top and side. As always, the final choice is yours.

It takes between 7-10 days to set the diamonds into the iPhone. It can take less time. It depends on how busy our workshops are.
